Organizational Strategy in This Great Recession / Speaker is Gordon Woodfall

Event Synopsis

Is your company losing market share? Is your company in danger? What does that mean to you and what can you do about it? The current economic cycle is one that exhibits behavior that has not been seen since the Great Depression. Patterns are changing and paradigms being broken, thus creating a changing New World where organizations need to change to survive and position themselves for the future. Understanding how to use the organization and its effectiveness as a strategy is key. The strategy, used as a competitive barrier, can leap frog your organization years ahead of your rivals. In New England, much of our direct labor has already been shipped to low cost regions, with the remaining infrastructures being comprised of the indirect areas, so often viewed as the non-value in the eyes of the customer. For those organizations that merely reacted as they were in the survival mode most likely did not or had not looked at this as a strategic initiative. The question: Is it too late? The opportunity costs are overwhelming as we understand the costs of having an ineffective organization. We are also able to baseline our organizations effectiveness and are able to measure the dollars we are leaving on the table as leaders. Also, demonstrating the types of energy that an organization contains and displays provide the leaders a means to hold themselves accountable, including the C-Suite, human resource partners, and senior operation leaders. Once it is understood that innovation and change is required to either survive or maintain an organizations competitive edge, the change must be able to be sustainable. Change that will take hold and not migrate back to the status quo, once leadership moves onto another set of initiatives. Creating sustainable change within an organization, no matter if in service, healthcare, financial services, non-profit, or manufacturing require the same fundamental approach. Applying a proven business model for sustainable change called the Meta-Dia Pyramid Principle, the speaker will discuss how the principle relies on systemic solutions as the foundations and the presentation will discuss the 4 core elements and their interaction. Also, the requirements of alignment and integration of these 4 core elements in all aspects of the leadership teams delivery, is critical to the success. The four core elements are: ~ Vision, Strategy, Objective, ~ Organization Design & Skills, ~ Business Processes & Methodologies, and ~ Cultural Drivers This session will provide insight to the audience, as leaders of their organizations, the opportunity that still remains for their organization to find their Silver Lining and to reposition itself as a leading competitor in their market space.
